Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and design-oriented Architectural Lighting Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate may come from an architecture, interior design, or lighting design background and should possess a strong aesthetic sense along with a willingness to learn and grow in the field of architectural lighting design. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Head of Department and will be involved in developing creative and technically sound lighting concepts for architectural, façade, landscape, and interior projects. Experience in a lighting consultancy profile will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop architectural lighting concepts and design presentations for various projects.
• Prepare lighting layouts, fixture specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, and vendors during the design process
.• Understand the design language and aesthetic expectations of architects and interior designers.
• Assist in lighting calculations, mock-ups, and lighting simulations.
• Support site execution activities, including site coordination and mock-up supervision when required.
• Ensure design intent is maintained during project execution.
• Work collaboratively with the internal design and technical teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 2-5 years of experience in Architecture, Interior Design, or Lighting Design
• Basic to intermediate technical knowledge of architectural lighting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret design intent and visual language.
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative environment.
• Open to site visits, execution coordination, and mock-up supervision activities.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working with a lighting consultancy firm or lighting consultant profile.
• Knowledge of Dialux for lighting calculations and simulations.
• Photoshop proficiency for presentation enhancement and visual communication.
• Understanding of lighting fixtures, controls, and material interaction with light.
