Full job description
Tiedeman Custom Construction is looking for an Apprentice Carpenter with at least 1 year of experience to join our team specializing in high-quality custom homes, commercial builds and renovations throughout the Sea to Sky region. We pride ourselves on craftsmanship, professionalism, and maintaining a positive team culture.

The successful applicant will:

Assist in all aspects of residential construction
Perform framing, finishing and general carpentry
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Install doors, windows, siding, trim and cabinetry
Complete demolition and renovation work
Measure, cut and install building materials accurately
Operate hand and power tools safely
Maintain clean and organized job sites
Follow WorkSafeBC safety procedures
Work independently and as part of a team
Assist lead carpenters on a variety of construction tasks
Qualifications

Registered carpenter apprentice or equivalent carpentry experience
Experience in residential construction
Ability to use common carpentry hand and power tools
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labour
Reliable transportation to job sites
Strong communication and teamwork skills
English language ability sufficient to work safely on construction sites
Assets (Not Required)

First Aid certification
Fall Protection certification
Telehandler or skid steer experience
Scaffolding experience
Work Conditions

Outdoor work in all weather conditions
Residential & commercial construction sites
