Job Description
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, located in the nation's fifth largest city, welcomed more than 42 million passengers in 2025, making it one of the busiest airports in the country. As the largest of three airports in the Phoenix Airport System, Sky Harbor contributes over $44 billion annually to the regional economy.
The Technology Division is seeking a highly motivated Application Services Engineer to join the Business Applications and GIS team. This dynamic team collaborates across multiple technology environments, business units, and City departments, providing opportunities for professional growth and skill development. Employees also have access to ongoing technology training to enhance technical expertise.
The Application Services Engineer will maintain existing software and business systems. The applicant will be responsible for day-to-day administration, analyzing and troubleshooting Salesforce CRM, in-house developed and third-party solutions and systems. Responsibilities include managing user access, configuring workflows, maintaining data integrity, and integrating CRM with other enterprise systems to support critical airport business processes This position provides subject matter expertise in system architecture and high-level design, taking ownership of features and other aspects of the system, supporting development efforts, researching and developing new features and approaches, and proof of concept demonstrations.
Key Duties Include
• Provide day-to-day operational support, system administration, and maintenance for business applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Manage Salesforce CRM platform: Administer and optimize Salesforce CRM to support critical airport business processes, including user management, security settings, workflow automation, and integration with other enterprise systems.
• Perform Quality Assurance Testing for third party and in-house developed applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application incidents, bugs, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
• Perform application deployment, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in line with IT and security standards.
• Write and execute SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and analysis.
• Review or interpret application code to aid in troubleshooting.
• Write and maintain scripts (e.g., Windows, PowerShell) to support automation or system tasks.
• Document support activities, processes, and system configurations to ensure continuity and compliance.
• Maintain familiarity with security and compliance requirements.
• Deliver responsive and professional customer service to airport staff and stakeholders.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ability to create readable, clear, and detailed documentation.
• Ability to translate technical language into clear and user-friendly communication.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting issues in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in coding and scripting languages: 3 years of experience in creating, modifying, and debugging code to support application functions.
• Knowledge of database management and query languages: 3 years of demonstrated ability to troubleshoot data-related issues and write SQL queries.
SALARY
Pay Range: $74,796 to $110,510 annually.
Hiring Range: $74,796 to $100,235 annually.

Minimum Qualifications
• Two years of experience in computer applications programming and development and systems analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, mathematics, or a related field.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
• Experience in creating documentation.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience with cloud-based services and applications.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex software applications.
• Experience with IT security standards and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with debugging code, identifying bugs, and providing fixes or workarounds.
• Experience with CRM platforms: two years of demonstrated ability to implement, customize, and maintain Salesforce CRM or similar enterprise-level systems to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Professional certifications (CRM, Programming, Database, etc.), preferred.
