Position Overview
Role Description
PaaS Professional Services work closely with application teams to accelerate their adoption of the strategic PaaS platforms in the Bank. The team provides consulting, worked examples and best practice recommendations that help support an application team to make the right PaaS platform choice.
This role primarily supports the OpenShift platform that underpins our Container as a Service platform - Fabric, however the applicant needs to be multi skilled in other Java and Middleware platforms that are delivered on OpenShift and legacy PaaS environments.

Your key responsibilities
• Supporting teams to onboard to the right PaaS solution given the application footprint.
• Supporting the image governance process that brings new technologies to the platform.
• Contributing to the technical design and implementation of PaaS functionality to address client requirements.
• Delivering knowledge base articles for technology assessments where required.
• Automating repetitive tasks using continuous build technologies.
Your skills and experience
• Strong OpenShift 3.7+ experience - administration and development
• Strong Java knowledge and development experience building modern Java applications
• Experience of JBoss and Weblogic middleware platforms.
• Experience of investigating/resolving issues within global and distributed environments effectively
• Experience of system development within a financial institution and highly regulated/controlled environment.
• Experience of application deployment in Unix/Linux environments.
• Use of Jenkins, Team City or similar for continuous integration and automation to accomplish repetitive tasks
• Sun Certified Programmer/Oracle Certified Professional
• Redhat Openshift certification
• Preferably a BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
