Job Duties
About the Role
Under general supervision, assists in post-well evaluation of product performance, product application recommendations, and development of product performance optimization solutions. Provides technical and operational assistance to both external and internal customers to deliver effective technical solutions. Assists with developing and managing required product designs for an assigned area. Participates in developmental programs to accelerate learning. Learns product design theory and how to use technical software tools to perform their work. Requires an undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, or Business related discipline and a minimum of 2 year of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Develops key relationships within high level Customer management team - well construction-well completions- G&G organizations.
Assists with development of effective technical solutions based on a clear understanding of customers business & technical objectives and/or challenges.
Supports BD and Field Operations in preparation of performance data as required to assist in product proposal development, bit application recommendations and post-well evaluation of product performance.
Assists Drill Bit Technology Managers and Application Design Evaluation Specialists with developing and managing the required bit designs for an assigned area.
Develops capability to use technical application software tools such as product hydraulics, performance data base, SPARTA, MaxBHA, DxD, PBR, INSITE, and vibration analysis.
Responsible for monitoring product performance, performance evaluation, dull grading, and creation of performance reports as required to support product development and incremental sales
Develops fundamental understanding of product design theory and application analysis including operating parameters, log interpretation, and effects of formation/pore pressure as it relates to drilling.
Assists in resolution of product performance and reliability issues in order to maintain and improve product and service quality.
Can travel extensively to Pan India locations for conducting technical workshops with various customers
Good excel and presentation skills would be preferred
Knowledge Skill and Ability
Requires knowledge and application of basic engineering principles, basic product technology, and basic drilling processes. Intermediate skill level in functional applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required. Knowledge of product design theory and application analysis including operating parameters, log interpretation, and effects of formation/pore pressure as it relates to drilling.
