Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate & work closely with PD, Tech pack, sampling teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points.
- Assist in establishing best in class design process across different product category
- Should have a good technical skill in areas such as pattern cutting, grading and garment construction.
- Understand the technical guidelines form various departments while design & sampling process of garment
- To Create/visualize an idea and producing a design by hand sketch or using computer-based software.
- Working with others in the design team, such as Graphic Designers, Textile designers, Pattern makers to meet deadlines.
- To keep up to date with emerging and upcoming fashion trends, competition as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours, customer preference etc.
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Minimum experience of 3-5 years in design of menswear (casual or formal category)
2. A fashion graduate/postgraduate from NIFT is mandatory

The Artist Manager is an individual who have talent for apparel design and the knowledge of latest
fashion (international / domestic) trends. A person who sees an exciting opportunity in a highly

Managerial Responsibilities :
Assesses and trains departmental supervisors.
Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
Understand clients’ needs and provide clear instruction to creatives.
Conceptualize and sketch design plans. Determine cost of completion and project requirements
in the budgeting phase.
Set a timeline for the completion of the project.
Monitoring and recording the artists at every stage of the design.
Handing over to the production - the final artwork pattern after thorough check.
Following with the production in the initial stage if the final product is meeting all client needs.
Updating the library on regular basis.
Review and approve the works of creatives, drawing, printing, skits, graphics & photography.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Good & active listening to quickly understand ideas & concepts of clients.
Comfortable with risk taking by trying new concepts to create masterpiece.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Portfolio of design work.
Project management experience.
Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic.
Excellent communication skills, especially regarding communicating an artistic vision.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software.
Desire and Ability to Travel.
Pattern making, Love of Art and Creation
Willingness to Start at the Bottom
Interest in All-Things Fashion.
Select the visual and design elements for a project to meet client need.
Leading team members & terms of creativity.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or related field required.
