Work Location Requirement – APL Logistics: Employees residing within 25 miles of an APL Logistics Hub Office (AZ, FL, MI, NC, OR) are required to follow a designated Hybrid schedule as described below: Fully on-site, or fully remote schedules are determined based on role and business needs
Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor
Candidates outside the 25-mile radius may be considered for fully remote roles, depending on business needs

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location

Responsibilities
The Specialist, Tax will be an integral part of the Company’s tax compliance process in
support of the North American and Latin American business structures
Analyst will also have an opportunity to assist on various special projects as needed
Preparation of annual reports and business licenses
Assist in the preparation of income tax returns
Preparation of sales/use and property tax returns
Assist in unclaimed property tax issues
Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation
Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision
Provide third party tax consultants various financial data and resolve billing issues
Contact various tax authorities to address and respond to tax notices
Perform processing of tax payments and other administrative tasks as needed
Work with the global Accounting and Finance Teams to master the financial reporting systems that are key to the tax compliance and reporting process
Ensure responses to tax notices are timely and accurate
Perform payment processing and administrative functions of the Tax Department
Remote work requires full compliance with company policies, including workspace standards, timekeeping, and communication protocols

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Specialist, Tax will be an integral part of the Company’s tax compliance process in
support of the North American and Latin American business structures. The Tax
Analyst will also have an opportunity to assist on various special projects as needed.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Preparation of annual reports and business licenses.
• Assist in the preparation of income tax returns.
• Preparation of sales/use and property tax returns.
• Assist in unclaimed property tax issues.
• Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision.

Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of one year of tax experience in a Corporate Tax Department, professional accounting or tax certification preferred.

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $53,888 - $77,892.
