We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist (Ansible Automation Platform SME)
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development and enhancement of Restful APIs
• Focus on automating all aspects of the RedHat Linux, Windows & Virtualization platforms
• Lead the Engineering aspects of developing templates and playbooks on Ansible Automation Platform.
• Define, create & manage Ansible roles
• Implement secrets management for applications using standard available tools.
• Increase speed of provisioning, availability, and performance.
• Work with Agile Teams, Architects, and Product Owners to identify and implement the most optimal solutions.
• Ensure the automation solutions meet compliance & other audit requirements
• Lead the migration of various technology stacks from one platform to another.
• Provide technical advice to team members and contribute to upskilling of the team.
• Innovate new solutions and ensure the products use latest technology stacks
Requirements
Qualifications – External
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related field.
• Person should have more than 15+ years of experience.
• 5 to 8 years of hands-on development experience, Subject Matter Expert (SME) in development of Ansible playbooks and templates on Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
• Deep understanding of how to leverage AAP capabilities for developing Automation for large/Enterprise server estate.
• Knowledge and understanding of Linux or Windows Operating System and its related modules.
• Proficient in Python language with exposure to Python or Java Springboot APIs.
• Advanced skills in developing and testing automation using Ansible Playbooks and Jenkins via API calls
• Bachelor/master’s degree in engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of work experience.
• Hands-on experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and code management in a large organization using GitHub
• Experience of working with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams and stakeholders
• Experience working with and managing Jenkins pipelines for code testing and continuous deployment.
• Experience in developing scripts in PowerShell or bash with some level of understanding of Server Operating Systems..
