About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Android Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our team and work on integrating advanced machine learning features into Android applications. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to develop and implement ML solutions using Google ML Kit and custom ML models optimized for on-device performance. You will gain real-world experience in Android development and learn how to optimize and deploy machine learning models for mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in designing and developing Android applications with integrated machine learning features.
• Implement pre-built ML solutions using Google ML Kit (e.g., text recognition, object detection, face detection).
• Work with TensorFlow Lite to deploy and optimize custom ML models for on-device inference.
• Collaborate with senior developers and data scientists to preprocess and integrate ML models into Android applications.
• Test and debug ML implementations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Conduct research on the latest trends in mobile ML technologies to suggest improvements or new features.
• Contribute to documentation, including technical guides and project updates.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Android development using Kotlin or Java.
• Basic understanding of Google ML Kit and its APIs.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Interest in deploying ML models on mobile devices using tools like TensorFlow Lite.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to optimizing ML models for mobile platforms (e.g., model quantization, pruning).
• Experience with Android Studio and Android Jetpack components.
• Familiarity with debugging and performance profiling tools for Android.
• Understanding of privacy and security considerations for ML-driven features.
• Participation in ML or Android-related projects (academic or personal).
