About the Role
Join the physiotherapy and broader multidisciplinary team in delivering care to a diverse range of patients during their acute hospital stay. Work with the team to deliver therapeutic interventions through clear delegations, support setup and maintenance of therapy spaces, be actively engaged in patient equipment management and provision and work with the multidisciplinary team to support excellent care for our patients at Eastern Health.
You will have:
Opportunities to rotate across diverse clinical areas within Box Hill Hospital including Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and the Emergency Department, offering broad skill development and exposure
Comprehensive clinical supervision and support, including structured group supervision
Participation in the Eastern Health Allied Health Assistant Professional Development Program, supporting ongoing learning and career progression for all our AHA’s across Eastern Health as part of a large, supportive AHA team, with guidance and mentorship from an experienced group of Grade 3 AHAs

About You
To be successful in the role you will possess:
Essential:
Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistant (or equivalent) from a registered training organisation
Completion of Physiotherapy modules as part of Certificate 4 training
Experience as an AHA either employed or as a student working in a hospital environment
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Current Australian working rights / Visa
Please note this role does not align with student application if currently undergoing training
Desirable:
Public Health experience either as a student or employee
Experience working within an acute hospital setting either as a student or employee
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
