Job Description: Airport Ground Staff (Fresher)
Position Overview: As an Airport Ground Staff member, you will be responsible for assisting passengers during their time at the airport, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to work in various departments such as check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Customer Service:
• Greet passengers and provide assistance with check-in procedures, boarding, and baggage handling.
• Answer inquiries and provide information about flight schedules, airport facilities, and services.
• Assist passengers with special needs and ensure their comfort and safety throughout their journey.
• Baggage Handling:
• Load and unload luggage onto conveyor belts and aircraft, ensuring proper handling and security procedures.
• Tag and label baggage accurately to prevent loss or mishandling.
• Coordinate with ground crew and airline personnel to ensure timely baggage delivery.
• Security Compliance:
• Adhere to security protocols and regulations set by airport authorities and airlines.
• Conduct security screenings of passengers and their belongings using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
• Report any security concerns or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
• Operational Support:
• Assist in the efficient operation of airport facilities, including gates, lounges, and boarding areas.
• Monitor passenger flow and queue management to ensure orderly boarding and disembarkation.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise.
• Emergency Response:
• Follow emergency procedures and protocols in the event of a security threat, medical emergency, or aircraft evacuation.
• Assist passengers and crew members during emergency situations, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications And Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in using airport software and systems (training provided).
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
