Job Description – Head – Air Freight Operations
Location: Mumbai
Department: Air Freight Operations
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end Air Import & Export Operations.
• Ensure timely shipment movement and adherence to customer SLAs.
• Coordinate with airlines, GSSA, agents, customs brokers, transporters, and overseas offices.
• Handle operational escalations and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Lead, train, and monitor the Air Freight Operations team.
• Monitor operational KPIs, shipment status, productivity, and service quality.
• Implement SOPs and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with customs, aviation, security, and DG requirements.
• Prepare operational MIS and report performance to senior management.
Candidate Profile
• 12–15+ years of experience in Air Freight Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in Air Import & Export.
• Excellent knowledge of airline coordination, customs, documentation, and freight forwarding processes.
• Proven team leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer handling and operational escalation-management capabilities.
