The company operates at AI speed, with autonomy and intelligence at its core. Our lean team works in a high-agency, high-velocity environment where AI isn't a side project, it's the operating system for how we think, build, and grow.
THE ROLE
You'll be the face of FlytBase's AI-native culture — internally and externally. You'll design and execute a full calendar of AI events: hackathons, technical meetups, roundtables, watch parties for major AI releases, and whatever else makes the AI community excited to engage with FlytBase. This isn't one event per month — you'll run multiple touchpoints every week because that's what it takes to build real community momentum.
You'll also evangelize FlytBase's AI-first approach across the industry. You're not just hosting events, you're positioning FlytBase as the company that truly gets AI in the drone autonomy space. The work is intense but meaningful and fun — especially if you're genuinely excited about AI developments and love bringing technical people together.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
AI community events — Hackathons, meetups, roundtables, AI release watch parties, and technical showcases
FlytBase AI brand — Position us as the most AI-native company in drone autonomy
Event calendar management — Multiple weekly touchpoints, not monthly check-ins
Community platform strategy — Discord, LinkedIn, Twitter, wherever AI builders gather
Speaker recruitment — Get the best AI minds to engage with our community
Internal AI culture — Document and showcase how FlytBase operates at AI speed
Partnership development — Connect with AI tool companies, research labs, and technical communities
Content amplification — Turn every event into shareable content that builds our reputation
BEST SUITED FOR
Community or marketing experience — 2+ years actually building and managing communities, not just posting on social
Event execution skills — You've organized technical events, hackathons, or meetups before
AI tool fluency — You use AI tools daily for your own workflows, not just as a hobby
Technical comfort — You can have conversations with engineers about AI implementations
High-energy execution — Multiple events per week requires systems thinking and relentless execution
Content creation skills — Turn events into videos, posts, and assets that extend reach
Network in AI space — Existing connections with AI researchers, builders, or communities
