Job description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programmatic Ad Sales Manager to drive programmatic ad sales for our newly launched Demand-Side Platform (DSP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and increasing revenue from digital ad sales. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem and ad-tech platforms, as well as a strong network of advertisers, agencies, and brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify, prospect, and engage new clients (advertisers, agencies, trading desks, etc.) for programmatic ad sales through our DSP.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Conduct market research to understand client needs and deliver appropriate ad solutions.
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing consultation on how to maximize performance using our DSP.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding, campaign setup, and optimization.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve campaign performance.
Sales Process Management:
Lead the end-to-end sales process including lead generation, pitch preparation, presentations, negotiation, and closing deals.
Prepare and present proposals to clients, ensuring alignment with their programmatic needs.
Manage contracts, billing, and post-sales processes, ensuring client satisfaction and campaign success.
Industry Knowledge & Trends:
Stay up to date with programmatic advertising trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
Understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
Reporting & Analysis:
Monitor and analyze sales performance data and KPIs, and provide regular reporting to management.
Provide feedback and insights to the product team on improving the DSP’s functionality and competitive positioning.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
3+ years of experience in programmatic ad sales, preferably working with DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, or related ad-tech platforms.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including RTB (Real-Time Bidding), CPM, CPC, CPA models, and inventory types.
Existing network of contacts with media buyers, advertisers, and agencies is highly desirable.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with CRM tools and ad-tech platforms.
Nice to Have:
Experience with data management platforms (DMP), audience segmentation, and ad targeting strategies.
