Job Description
Position DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to work in our facility in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Function (AME). The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products, processes and equipment and leads strategic and continual improvement initiatives.Knowledge In:NPD/NPI, Lean Management, Six Sigma, Machine Tools, Machining Center, Industrial Engineering, Machine Learning, Locus Automotive, Method Engineering, Process Engineering. Experience Required: 10-15 years Position Responsibilities:Analyzes the manufacturing methods and production processes involved in delivering projects, both strategic and continual improvement initiativesCompiles and submits the data to the management team with statistical data to clearly identify the future requirements of manufacturing.Works with all levels of the organization to identify and implement process improvements, find process interactions and dependencies.Designs, develops, tests and/or sources various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.Designs and implements lean manufacturing methods that meet regulatory compliance and improve efficiencies for the organization.Completes end to end planning, direction and coordination of all the manufacturing process and equipment changes.Works closely with the Maintenance department to ensure the maintainability of new installations by implementing an effective predictive and preventative program.Utilizes TOC, six sigma and lean manufacturing tools that will lead to reduced downtime, increased production and a culture of continuous improvement.Leads change management activities and ensures solution adaptability.Understands facility layout and flow of operations in production, cGMP’s and supply chain principles. Experience and Skills Required:Bachelor degree or higher education in an engineering disciplineMinimum of 10 years related experience in manufacturing or assembly processesExperience in working in new product developments, green field or brown field transformation projectsExperience in designing, operating, troubleshooting, or maintaining complex production machinery is desirableKnowledge of computer or PLC based machine control systems is desirableCAD experience (Creo, SolidWorks or AutoCAD) is desirableSix Sigma Green Belt Certification and Lean manufacturing skills are desirableSignificant use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and NAV with the ability to learn new systems and tools quicklyAbility to read and comprehend instructions, memos, emails, SOP’s, regulations, and other materials requiredAbility to effectively present information verbally to other employees of the organizationMust effectively demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.Ability to add, subtract, and multiply applying statistical and other complex mathematic concepts when neededAbility to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral formAbility to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
