Salary: $17.00 USD Hourly - $20.00 USD Hourly
Description
Our client is on the lookout for a skilled AP/AR Specialist to enhance their finance team. This role involves providing comprehensive support to our business unit clients and suppliers throughout the entire procurement to payment cycle. Additionally, the specialist will drive process improvements and gain an understanding of the company’s organizational structure, key contacts, and stakeholders.
This position also encompasses involvement in special projects and other responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure the integrity and completeness of client records and suggest enhancements to invoicing and collections processes.
• Oversee invoice processing and guarantee prompt payment execution.
• Examine client documents for accurate system configurations and adherence to accounting standards.
• Maintain meticulous records of purchases for tax preparation and routine audits.
• Educate and mentor Accounts Receivable/Payable team members, offering support when necessary.
• Keep track of data receipt and document origination.
• Stay informed of and report on shifts in payment regulations.
• Organize and interpret source documents for data entry.
• Engage with document creators to clarify discrepancies or missing information.
• Input data into the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable System, ensuring proper coding, data accuracy, and making adjustments as needed.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
• At least 2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or AP/AR roles.
• Completion of a High School diploma or GED.
Nice To Have
• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with automated financial and accounting software.
• Exceptional communication abilities, both oral and written.
• A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
• An Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
