Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance, with a proven track record in managing financial statements, overseeing month-end close processes, and ensuring accuracy in financial records. As an Accounting & Reporting Specialist, you will work closely with clients to streamline their financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide insights to improve financial performance and reporting accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately and on time.
-Handling payments & Payroll
-Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, and other financial records, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrections as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including local GAAP and IFRS, by staying up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls over financial reporting, identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Prepare and distribute regular and ad-hoc financial reports to management and clients, providing insights into financial performance, trends, and variances.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits, ensuring all requested information is provided and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing historical data analysis and insights into financial trends.
- Engage with clients to understand their financial reporting needs, address inquiries, and provide guidance to enhance their financial management practices.
Qualifications
Experience:
B.Com/CA Inter with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial statement preparation, and reporting. Prior experience with financial analysis is a plus.
Technical Proficiency : Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo), with the ability to create accurate and visually clear financial reports.
Attention to Detail:
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial data.
Communication Skills:
Clear written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information and collaborate with teams.
I ndependence and Team Collaboration:
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
