Description
We are currently seeking an Semi Senior Accountant to join our practice based in Honley on a full-time basis (working hours to be discussed). This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with practice experience to join a supportive and growing team. The successful candidate will have experience preparing accounts and tax returns, along with strong client communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of accounts for:
o Limited companies
o Sole traders
Corporation Tax returns
Self-Assessment Tax returns (not essential - training will be provided)
Making tax digital for self employed (Not essential, training will be provided
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Bank reconciliations
Reconciling balance sheet items
Bookkeeping duties
Producing management reports (Not essential, training will be provided
Liaising with clients on a regular basis
Key Requirements
AAT qualified or currently working towards AAT
A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
Additional Requirements
Experience using Microsoft Excel
Experience with cloud-based accounting software, particularly Xero (preferred but not essential – training will be provided)
