Job Description
Position: Accountant
Experience Required: 6+ Years
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month
Location: Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a minimum of 6 years of professional accounting experience. The ideal candidate should possess excellent knowledge of Tally, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to generate accurate financial reports. Candidates with prior experience in the Real Estate industry will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
• Maintain books of accounts in Tally with complete accuracy.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports.
• Prepare and maintain GST records and ensure timely compliance.
• Assist in TDS calculations, deductions, and return preparation.
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Maintain vendor and customer ledgers.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and tax consultants.
• Verify vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Ensure statutory compliance and proper documentation.
• Support management with financial analysis and business reporting.
Required Skills
• Excellent command of Tally ERP * / TallyPrime.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF formulas, Data Validation, Charts, Report Generation, etc.).
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
• M.Com, MBA (Finance), or relevant accounting certifications will be an advantage.
Experience
• Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in handling complete accounting functions independently.
• Real Estate industry experience will be an added advantage.
