Job description
POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
Location : AMELI BOPAL ROAD, JAYANTILAL PARK, AHMEDABAD.
Experience : 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
Salary : 15.00 LPA to 16.00 LPA
Education : Chartered Accountant
Role & Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, accounts, and ledgers.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Analyze financial data and provide business insights.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement financial processes and controls.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Lead the accounts team with good leadership quality.
• Reconcile invoices, SOA, and payments.
• Clear discrepancies in invoices, payments, and freight payments.
• Liaise with suppliers and buyers for discrepancies.
• Check and approve payments via various modes.
• Review open items, accruals, and expenses for month-end closing.
• Prepare monthly AP reconciliation, aging listing, and GST reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare audit schedules.
• Report daily activities to management.
• Prepare AP/AR related balance sheet schedules and weekly reports.
• Perform closing and reconciliations for month-end reporting.
• Reconcile inter-company differences and maintain master sheets for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for business growth.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and implement financial processes and controls.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.)
• Should be well versed with written communication in English.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A candidate who has experience of independently working or managing accounts team in an import and export company and is well versed with international accounting practices in trading industry should be an advantage.
• Looking for candidate who can join immediately and are flexible with 6 days working.
