Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive academic counseling to students, assisting them with course selection, academic planning, and career guidance.
• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to address students' academic concerns, learning difficulties, and personal issues affecting their studies.
• Develop and implement academic workshops and seminars to enhance students' learning experiences and skills.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify students who need additional academic support and create personalized intervention plans.
• Monitor and track students' academic progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Advise students on academic policies, procedures, and resources available within the institute.
• Assist in the development and execution of student orientation programs.
• Participate in student recruitment activities, providing prospective students with information about academic programs and counseling services.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic counseling or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Empathetic and patient, with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Familiarity with academic advising software and tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of educational policies, student development theories, and counseling techniques.
