The Aboriginal Liaison Officer (ALO) will work with the Diversity and Inclusion Team to improve outcomes for patients who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Key responsibilities include providing one-on-one engagement and support, liaising with community to support individual health self-determination, supporting community members to link with hospital, community health, and primary care services, and supporting Northeast Health Wangaratta's planning for cultural safety.
