The Opportunity

As the Communications Assistant you’ll support the success of our internal external brand strategies through copywriting, content creation, media and PR tasks, event communications, and visual content development. You will disseminate communications that engage our residents and families, our staff and the broader community, which align with the organisation's branding goals. Thus enabling older people to access residential options and services which support their quality of life. This part time onsite position is 30.4 hours per week which can be worked across 4 or more days . Remuneration is pro-rated to 0.8 FTE, plus leave loading, superannuation and Not-For-Profit salary packaging.

Responsibilities:

Developing engaging and clear written content for digital and print platforms, including newsletters, blogs, and press releases
Crafting key messages for various stakeholders to enhance brand presence
Supporting the development of media materials, liaising with media outlets monitoring public perception
Developing event collateral and assisting in coordinating and promoting corporate events, community engagements, and sponsorships
Editing and producing engaging visual content for use across digital and social media platforms
Assisting in managing social media accounts, including post management monitoring engagement metrics
About you

Essential:

Degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in content creation across multiple platforms.
Basic photography and videography skills.
Familiarity with social media management and digital content strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Desirable:

Experience in event communications.
Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva).
Understanding of SEO and website content management.
Experience in the aged care, health, or not-for-profit sectors.
