Position Overview
Keith Country Day School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic 3rd Grade Teacher to join our Lower School faculty. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters academic excellence, curiosity, creativity, and character development. This individual will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum while supporting the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction in core subject areas, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and a love of learning
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences
Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives
Maintain open, professional, and effective communication with parents, faculty, and administration
Support students' social-emotional development and character growth
Participate in school events, faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other community activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
Prior elementary teaching experience preferred, with experience in upper elementary grades considered a plus
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment
