Job description
We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in designing ethnic wear in wholesale manufacturing and a passion for creating unique and timeless pieces. Responsibilities: • Design and develop new collections of ethnic wear, including sarees, lehengas, suits, and other traditional garments. • Research and stay updated on the latest fashion trends and industry developments. • Create sketches, mood boards, and design concepts. • Collaborate with the production team to ensure the successful execution of designs. • Source fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with the brand's aesthetic. • Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and industry events to stay connected with the market. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers. • Experience in managing wholesale manufacturing processes, including production planning, quality control, and vendor management. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. • Minimum 7 years of experience in designing ethnic wear. • Strong understanding of Indian textiles, embroidery techniques, and traditional motifs. • Excellent design skills and a creative eye for color, pattern, and silhouette. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, etc.). Key Responsibilities:
· Independently execute and launch garment designs daily, managing the entire process from pattern tracing to 3D pattern making and rendering.
· Handle ad hoc 3D pattern making and rendering tasks as assigned.
· Research, ideate, and implement strategies to improve design workflows and increase overall efficiency.
· Contribute to a collaborative, inspiring, and entrepreneurial team culture by supporting colleagues and promoting innovative thinking.
· Collaborate with the Design Team, providing clear direction on colors, trends, and design aesthetics.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in related field
• 2 + years of experience
Key Skills:
· Proficient in CLO3D and Browzwear, with a strong understanding of garment construction.
· Skilled in Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, or similar software for garment texturing.
· Familiarity with animation tools in Marvelous Designer or CLO3D is a plus.
· Solid knowledge of 3D modeling, rendering, lighting, materials, texturing, and resource optimization.
· Experience in designing lingerie, casual wear, sportswear, and swimwear.
· Advanced skills in draping, pattern-making, cutting, and stitching.
· Ability to interpret and execute garment designs accurately based on briefs and deadlines.
· Quick learner with a strong grasping ability and a creative mindset.
· Proven functional expertise in creative design.
· Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently
