Role Description/Criteria
At Our Lady of the Assumption Primary School we enjoy a positive and welcoming culture where we celebrate strengths and promote a growth mindset. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards in Literacy and Numeracy whilst nurturing the wellbeing of each student.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the part time (1.0 FTE) fixed term position of Classroom Teacher to commence on 27 January 2026, concluding on 26 January 2027. This is a position under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2026.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. They will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team based approach to learning and teaching.
Selection Criteria
We require a teacher with the ability to:
create a safe classroom environment that encourages the full flourishing of each child
embrace the Catholic ethos of our school
demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude
work and collaborate as part of a professional learning team using data to inform practice
deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities
partner with families to provide care and support for students
foster and value student voice to engage children in their learning
use digital technologies to enhance innovative and contemporary learning and teaching.
The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
