Job Description
The role of a Year 7-10 Classroom Music Teacher and Instrumental Music Specialist is to provide high-quality music education to students in Years 7-10.
Main Responsibilities:
Teach music theory, history, and appreciation to students in Years 7-10.
Conduct instrumental music classes for guitar, bass, and drums.
Develop and implement curriculum programs that cater to the diverse needs of students.
Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide music programs.
Key Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant curriculum areas, including literacy and numeracy skills.
Able to implement high-impact teaching strategies and evaluate their effectiveness.
Capacity to monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work with students, parents, and colleagues.
Consistent with Department values and able to reflect on practice, engaging in professional learning.
Able to collaborate within teams to drive the vision of the College.

The College provides access to an education from Prep to Year 12 and is divided into four sub-schools: Junior, Middle, Aspire, and Senior.
