The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a local Service Technician to join our service department based out of our Mount Isa facility on an 8 on 6 off roster, with rotating day and night shift as needed by operations.
The role is required to support our customers on-site operations by carrying out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to our range of state-of-the-art mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.
Responsibilities
Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
Adhering to all policies procedures, especially EHS policies.
Requirements
Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders, and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be a distinct advantage.
Strong and proven safety culture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals.
Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative.
Basic computer literacy.
Class C Manual Driver's License.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks, and regular onsite drug alcohol testing.
