Join us at ATCO Electric Yukon as a Warehouse Technician, Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Construction and/or the direction of the Stockkeeper, you will handle essential materials handling activities for efficient warehouse operations. This includes managing inventory transactions, tracking items, and balancing inventory levels with current and forecasted needs to ensure accuracy. You will also perform warehousing and distribution tasks such as planning, scheduling, and arranging deliveries, as well as assembling and handling sales orders. Additionally, you’ll integrate tasks like releasing material on the Oracle system, picking, packaging, documentation, and arranging transportation. Coordination of resources and priorities may be required to complete assignments on time.

What You’ll get do:
Handle the receiving and shipping of goods and materials, ensuring all documentation is completed and filed.
Strip and sort salvage material for disposal or sale, prepare returns of surplus goods to suppliers
Keep the warehouse, yard and associated buildings clean and orderly.
Assist customers at the warehouse counter and help prioritize material needs to meet deadlines.
Conduct routine warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, picking, sorting and assessing returns and salvage materials in the absence of the stockkeeper
Fill and prepare orders for materials, ensuring they are recorded to the corresponding work orders
Operate material handling equipment and determine appropriate locations for pickup and shipping materials
Investigate Inventory discrepancies and perform scheduled inventory count
Completing accurate data entry within PC based materials management software program
Complete accurate data entry and other administrative tasks as required
Perform and direct routine warehouse she and warehouse operations
Other duties as assigned
What You Bring:
Completion of High School Diploma or GED is required
Willingness and ability to complete courses in general warehousing and logistics certification
First Aid, WHIMS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is required
Valid Vehicle operator’s license is required.
Working experience in Trades is considered an asset
Experience in inventory software is an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Proficiency with Oracle Software
Operational and Physical Requirements
Some Travel and out of town work may be required.
Must have the physical strength to lift heavy materials
