Overview: Reporting directly to the President of SNIPES USA, the Vice President of Human Resources is a key member of the SNIPES Senior Leadership Team and will play a critical role in driving a people first, high performance, inclusive and purpose driven culture. With 5000+ team members across our HQ, stores and distribution center, this role will oversee all facets of HR across the organization, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, benefits, compensation, legal compliance, and payroll.
Responsibilities
• Act as a trusted advisor and partner to the executive and leadership team, developing and aligning people strategies with business objectives
• Champion a strong, inclusive, and performance-driven culture aligned with the company’s vision and values
• Provide leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing all facets of HR across the organization, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, benefits, compensation, legal compliance, and payroll
• Advance initiatives that help drive our culture and employee engagement through programs, tools, and experiences that engage our team at all levels and inspire a positive, adaptive, and accountable culture
• Build and scale learning, leadership, and career development programs to support skill building and team member growth, providing for internal mobility, building bench strength and fostering succession planning
• Champion employer branding and proactive talent marketing to position SNIPES as an employer of choice, reflecting our purpose, values, and inclusive culture
• Lead a high-impact recruiting and onboarding function to ensure a consistent pipeline of talent across the organization
• Oversee a comprehensive performance management strategy and process to drive accountability and foster a culture of excellence
• Maintain and further develop policies and processes that meet compliance needs while supporting employee engagement
• Utilize people-related data to aid in strategic decision making and develop key metrics to measure employee engagement, performance and retention
• Guide employee relations team to ensure all team member issues and any performance matters are handled in a timely, fair, respectful and legally sound manner
• Lead benefits strategy, administration, and payroll operations with accuracy and compliance, ensuring team member satisfaction
• Collaborate with insurance brokers, carriers and plan administrators, fiduciary partners, and other vendors to negotiate terms, ensure appropriate plan design, manage vendor relationships, and evaluate program effectiveness
• Maintain up-to-date compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions and ensure HR risk management protocols are followed using efficient HR processes and systems
• Partner with legal counsel on investigations, regulatory inquiries, and workforce audits
• Ensure HRIS system and processes support operational needs and are fully utilized to enhance and streamline efforts
• Responsible for developing and managing HR budget, and ensuring all projects, programs and events are resourced appropriately and delivered on time within approved budget
Skills Qualifications
• 15+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, with at least 5-7 years at the senior executive level, ideally within a consumer-facing organization supporting many locations across the US
• Proven success leading through change, scaling teams, and implementing programs in fast-paced environments
• Certification in SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or other senior Human Resources leadership credentials a plus
• Strong business acumen and ability to link HR strategies with business goals
• Deep experience across all core HR disciplines, including talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, learning development, and compliance
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
• Inspirational leadership style with a passion for team development and cultural impact
• Ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
• Consensus-building and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex issues and drive effective outcomes
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Experience with HR technology systems and data analytics
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
