District Veterinary Hospital - Brookland has an opportunity for a Veterinary Technician to join our team!
Location: 3748 10th St NE, Washington, DC 20017
Shift Details: Full-time position. 4-day work week (three full days and a half day with a rotating Saturday from +:00 am-2:00 pm)! The Saturday shift will be required once every 4 - 8 weeks.
Compensation: $20 - $24
Skills: We are looking for someone proficient with venipuncture, IV catheter placement and a solid understanding of surgical monitoring and anesthesia.

We hold daily huddles to discuss important updates and ensure everyone is aligned for the day, along with staff meetings every 2-3 months for ongoing communication and growth. We actively incorporate Fear Free and Cat Friendly techniques with our patients to enhance their comfort and experience.

We offer various opportunities for growth through our training labs, where staff can learn and enhance their skills. Additionally, we host "Power Hours" every Thursday, focusing on a different tech training topic each week.
To support both skill development and personal preferences, we rotate staff through different roles across the hospital, including room tech, float tech, surgery tech, lab, pharmacy, intake tech, and drop-off charge tech. This approach allows everyone to grow and expand their expertise while contributing to the teams success.
In addition to being 1 block from the metro, we offer clinic parking and $85/month in metro benefits.
Benefits:
PTO - 80 hours
Full-time team members will be awarded additional PTO based on their years of service.
