Job Overview:
We are urgently seeking 2 Waiters/Waitresses who can deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the professional standards of our historic country club. The ideal candidate will be friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of managing high-pressure situations with grace.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a scenic and social environment, have prior experience in food and beverage service, and are committed to making every guest feel valued.

Our clubhouse restaurant and event space is a favorite among members, guests, and tournament players. With a growing number of events, weddings, and casual diners, we are looking to expand our front-of-house team with experienced and passionate Waiters/Waitresses.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
• Welcome guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and ensure they are comfortable.
• Present menus, answer questions about the menu, and make recommendations when requested.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
• Ensure guest satisfaction during meals and address any concerns or requests quickly.
• Process guest bills and handle cash or card transactions efficiently.
Food Beverage Knowledge:
• Understand the menu thoroughly, including daily specials, wine pairings, and beverage options.
• Communicate guest dietary needs or allergies to the kitchen team.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional, courteous manner ensuring proper presentation.
• Upsell specials or premium items to maximize revenue.
Table Maintenance:
• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for guests at all times.
• Clear plates, glassware, and utensils promptly and cleanly.
• Refill drinks and attend to additional needs without being intrusive.
Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Support colleagues during busy periods or large events.
• Maintain open communication with team members and assist with training new staff as required.
Health Safety Compliance:
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations as per Canadian standards.
• Ensure proper handling of food and beverages to avoid contamination.
• Adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols (if applicable) and general workplace health regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
• Completion of secondary school is preferred but not mandatory.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one is an asset.
Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant, club, hotel, or similar hospitality setting is preferred.
• Experience working in fast-paced food service environments, particularly in fine dining or upscale establishments, is an advantage.
Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Professional demeanor with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Attention to detail, particularly regarding food presentation and guest preferences.
• Ability to handle complaints gracefully and turn challenging situations into positive experiences.
• Knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails is an asset but not required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Fast-paced environment with potential for long hours during events or peak periods.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Repetitive tasks including lifting trays, carrying plates, and bending.
• Flexible working hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on club activities.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary Range: $15.75 to $16.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
