UI/UX Designer - Cockpit HUD Systems
Overview:
Casper Mobility is building Canada’s first aerial mobility ecosystem — and we’re looking for a UI/UX Designer with a visionary mindset to help shape the cockpit and Heads-Up Display (HUD) experience for our next-generation flying vehicles. You’ll play a key role in translating flight data, navigation, and human-machine interactions into beautiful, intuitive design systems that guide pilots with clarity and confidence.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design of cockpit user interfaces and Smart Sky Grid HUD overlays across Air Casper’s flight experience.
Develop wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes in collaboration with engineering and AR development teams.
Conduct user research and human-centered design testing to optimize cockpit workflow and in-flight clarity.
Work closely with AR Developers and Simulation Engineers to integrate 3D visual elements into functional designs.
Establish style guides, motion behavior, and interaction flows for voice, touch, and visual-based controls.
Support user onboarding tools, pilot training visuals, and system status dashboards with elegant design solutions.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design — ideally in transportation, aviation, AR/XR, or interface-heavy industries.
Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, and motion prototyping software (e.g., Principle, After Effects).
Experience collaborating with developers working in Unity, Unreal, or custom AR pipelines.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino 3D is a strong asset.
Strong visual storytelling, layout, and interaction design skills.
Bonus: Interest in cockpit ergonomics, neurodesign, or aviation/human-factors research.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
