Responsibilities
In this impact role, you will be a key member of the team
With minimal supervision, you will perform routine preventative maintenance as well as respond to unplanned maintenance requirements on company-owned vehicles, semi-tractors, and trailers
Performs PMs and oil changes
Greases trucks and trailers
Performs tire services
Performs CSA/DOT inspections
Performs service calls
Conducts Electrical repair and diagnoses cause of failures
Completes Wheel End repair (S-cam/bushing replacement, spindle repairs, race and bearing replacement, wheel seals, brakes, brake pads, brake drums, ETC.)
Performs air system repair (diagnosis, tank replacement, airbags, leveling valves, dash valves, etc.)
Conducts HVAC repair (evacuate recharge, verifies cause of failure)
Completes coolant repairs (thermostat, water pump, hoses, fittings, radiator, etc.)
Performs light welding
Maintains electrical systems (batteries, alternators, starters, etc.) and diagnostics
Completes engine repair (belts, tensioners, pulleys)
Performs steering/suspension (shocks, reservoirs, filters, alignment, etc.)
Performs drivetrain and transmission repairs clutch adjustments, U-joints, carrier bearings, etc.)
Maintains cleanliness of the shop and keeps it free of clutter
Ensures all service equipment (jacks, tools, trucks) is in good working order, clean, and properly repaired when needed
Ensures all parts, tires, etc
are properly stored
Completes work orders by providing the necessary information, labor performed, parts used, and any other information for record-keeping purposes
Practices and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees
Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration within the first week of employment
Reports for work on time when scheduled
Assists in other duties, as assigned
