Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a-4:30p

Overview

The Trailer Mechanic performs thorough inspections and related repairs on equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance inspections to comply with DOT regulations
Properly diagnose and repair trailer fleet.
Repair trailer damage
Complete all necessary tags and work orders
Maintain a clean, safe work environment
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

Valid driver’s license required
Minimum 18 months mechanical related experience in the Transportation, heavy equipment, Agriculture, or Automotive Industry.
Skills and Abilities

Ability to read and understand repair manuals.
Ability to complete repair orders
Ability to routinely lift, push and/or pull up to 80 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and work outdoors
Demonstrated, proven customer service skills
Must have solid judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
