Job Description (Posting).

Position: SQL Server Database Administrator
Job description:
Responsible for all administration and maintenance tasks for the MS SQL environment supporting the Subway platform.
Installation and configuration of SQL Server 2016/2017/2024 on-prem and Cloud.
Knowledge of Managing and administering SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016 or above database servers.
Administering Windows Server 2008 R2/2012R2 or above servers
Managing Databases spread across multiple servers in Production, Development, staging testing environments.
Setting up Replication/Log Shipping/AlwaysOn Availability group.
Upgrading SQL Server and Server Patching both clustered and non-clustered environment.
Installation and configuration of PowerBI Gateway and Datasource.
Designing and implementing high availability solution like Windows Failover Clustering, Database Mirroring, AlwaysOn Availability, Log Shipping, Replications.
Configure SQL AlwaysOn Availability Group and Distributed AlwaysOn Availability Group in Azure using Load Balancers.
Setup the backups on on-prem and cloud database systems.
Automation daily routine task suing PowerShell/Chef or python.
Daily routine DBA tasks like handling user s permissions and space issues on Production and Semi-Production Servers and Troubleshooting Failed Jobs.
Monitor SQL Agent job failures and address critical issues immediately.
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including extended hours and weekends.
Self-starter and low guidance able to complete the project.
Ability to write and maintain technical documents
Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills; must be able to interface well with the end-users and client
A proven team player, who is driven to go the extra mile to make something great
Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including extended hours and weekends.
Incident Management - Handle critical issues 24x7 coverage.
Database System:
SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, CosmosDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Redshift DB, Azure and Mongo Cloud.
Amazon AWS RDS, RedShift, EC2 and S3
T-SQL Advanced Lavel. PowerShell
Very good at SQL, Cloud, Azure probably a senior team member. IAS 7
(1.) To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue (2.) To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time (3.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (4.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts (5.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases
