The key accountabilities of the role:


Working with Product Owner to plan and execute projects, ensuring that their team has the technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively
Working with engineers to establish realistic estimates for timelines, helping ensure projects remain on target to meet deadlines
Working with Product Owner to understand the projects functional and non-functional requirements
The key responsibilities of the role:


Collaboration with Product Management in defining the Product Vision
Involvement in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements capture, design, implementation, testing, delivery and support.
Technical advocate for the delivery of well designed, maintainable, secure software
Evolution of the existing software system applications and architecture
Release and sprint planning for their team
Coordination and delivery of production deployments
Design, architecture and implementation of software solutions
Delivery of high quality and maintainable software through strong test coverage
Patch and vulnerability management for the system/application
Incident response coordination with operations teams
Mentor developers of all levels
Continual improvement of engineering practices
Analyse and resolve technical and application problems
The key requirements for the role:

Strong awareness of operational risks associated with changes. Able clearly articulate these risks to Product Owner.
Evidence of a passionate interest in software
Enthusiastic and self-motivated
Able to provide multiple solutions to problems, and communicate the time, scope, and cost tradeoffs associated with each.
Sprint driver. Identifies bottlenecks, obstacles, and inefficiencies in daily development process, and finds solutions to address them.
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to give directions to other developers
Exceptional ability to interpret product requirements and deliver solutions that accurately reflect those requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional problem solving ability
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a small team
Ability to work independently and help decide scope and direction
Strong initiative that ensures sprint commitments are delivered
Advanced grasp of React / ReactNative frameworks
Advanced grasp of .NET framework
Advanced experience in mobile application development and publishing
CSS, HTML and Javascript knowledge
Strong knowledge of git
Understanding of OAuth2 and other web authentication and security methods
Advanced proficiency with RDBMSs. Able to write performant SQL queries of arbitrary complexity (Postgresql/MySQL)
Advanced understanding and application of software programming principles
Experience in multi-tier mobile application development
Experience in a commercial software development environment
Relevant qualifications, not necessarily a university degree
Experience with AI tools and services
