Warehouse Supervisor

OVERVIEW:
Join our team as a Warehouse Supervisor and play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operations of our warehouse facility. We are looking for a dedicated individual with experience in team management, supply chain, warehouse management systems, forklift operation, data analysis skills, and a focus on continuous improvement.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will work to ensure our product is sorted, loaded, and distributed as per our customer’s expectation. This is a Safety focused position. This person will Supervise their staff and work as a Team effort to ensure regulatory requirements and customer’s needs are met and exceeded. This position will manage the development and directions of the Warehouse team to drive revenue and mitigate controllable cost by continually reviewing internal processes to identify process improvements.

KEY ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Adopt and demonstrate a Supervisor style which emphasizes the concepts of team approach, coaching of subordinates for optimum performance and open, two-way communication
• Ensure the staff is following all Forklift and Warehouse regulations, and that all company procedures and policies are followed
• Assist in resolving and identifying disciplinary problems and monitor inter-staff relationships
• Pick, sort, load and dispatch orders as required in a timely manner
• Keep Management apprised of all problems encountered, customers comments and related issues
• Ensure effective and on-going communication with all Warehouse staff
• Confirm counts and order selections are accurate
• Check all incoming freight for damage and report accordingly
• Report returns and OSD issues immediately Assist drivers with loading products
• Report any unsafe operation or maintenance of equipment and arrange required repairs
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times
• Ensure product is sent out for delivery as per schedule or target and advise in advance of any foreseen issues
• Assist with warehouse and property housekeeping and maintenance
• Liaise with other inner office departments on problems encountered, customers comments and related issues
• In preparation for annual vacation insure back up is designated and aware of your daily duties.
• Assist with general office duties as assigned. Answer the phones and emails, filing, photocopying
• Become familiar with the company’s policies and procedures
• Represent the company in a professional manner
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Participate in ongoing training, cross training and assist in other positions required
• Assist with unforeseen issues as required
• Other duties as assigned by management

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years Supervisory experience
• Transportation industry experience would be a strong asset
• Forklift Certification or verifiable experience
• Forklift Trainer Certification would be an asset
• Safety focused
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service
• Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
