Position Summary:
The Temporary Van Driver will be responsible for transporting student participants and staff from various schools to the Vision Academy afterschool program, on field trips and for occasional special events. The driver will follow a planned route according to a predetermined time schedule and must always obey traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations.
Responsibilities:
Be extremely responsible and timely
Maintain a predetermined work schedule, and be on time for your shifts
Provide consistent and reliable support to students, families, and your co-workers
Pick up and drop off students at designated locations in a safe manner
Follow a planned route according to a predetermined time schedule
Help students get in and out of the van as needed
Must always obey traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations
Follow procedures to ensure passenger safety
Keep Program Manager and school sites informed of possible delays
Perform basic visual maintenance and safety checks (check the Van tires, lights, and oil)
Maintain and complete Mileage logs and necessary documentation
Qualifications:
Requires a valid California Driver's License and clean driving record and insurance
Strong communicator
Must be responsible and on-time for scheduled work shifts
Ability to maintain confidentiality
