To succeed in this role, you'll need:
• A Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/Journalism, or a similar field.
• At least 1 year of experience in sports writing, news content, or a related role.
• Excellent command of the English language with the ability to create engaging content.
• The skills to craft compelling, well-researched articles that capture breaking news, explore emerging trends, and deliver rich, insightful features.
• A deep passion for sports and the ability to stay updated on live events, team news, and the latest trends.
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), especially WordPress, is a valuable bonus.

As a US Sports Journalist at EssentiallySports, your key responsibilities will include:
• Creating 6 compelling articles each day, maintaining our high standards of quality.
• Working six days a week, synchronizing with our US audience's schedule to ensure timely, relevant content.
• Crafting well-researched, factually accurate articles that hook readers from the start.
• Collaborating with the editorial team to uphold quality and brainstorm fresh ideas with the content team.
• Diving into what makes our audience tick – understanding their love for the game and creating content that speaks directly to that passion.
• Prioritizing breaking news and ensuring our fans stay ahead with the latest updates.
