We are looking for a Specialist Communications to lead communications and support employee engagement for Rio Tinto Gove. In this role you will work closely with Operations and Closure leaders and key stakeholders across Gove and have the opportunity to create a significant impact on the employee experience and future of Gove. This role touches all areas of communications, including developing and executing communications strategies, writing, video, coaching and more.
Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Business Partner for Closure and working closely with the Manager of Communications for Aluminium Pacific Operations, you will:
Lead the development and implementation of major communications strategies and plans for the Gove site, including operations and closure activities, creating a seamless experience for stakeholders and a ‘one team’ ethos.
Coach leaders on effective communications and their development and delivery of messaging to their teams
Actively engage with frontline employees and supervisors in the field and observe communication plan implementation – collect feedback and continuously improve communications based on findings
Develop rich, relevant content that is simple, effective and reaches our frontline employees while experimenting with new, creative ways and processes to reach employees with the information they care about
Manage and oversee content across operations and ensure information is relevant, timely and effective
Monitor, report and evaluate communications impact/reach against key business priorities
Ensure all site communications aligns with broader Aluminium and Closure Communications priorities and strategies.
Contribute Gove content to Aluminium, Closure and Rio Tinto channels such as newsletters, written articles, and social media channels.
