Sous Chef
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at EHV International. The Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. They will collaborate with the Head Chef to create new menu items, maintain food quality and presentation, manage kitchen staff, and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. The Sous Chef will also assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Qualifications
• Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques and Indian Cuisine
• Passion for exploring and creating authentic Indian dishes.
• Experience in managing kitchen operations and leading a team
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Formal culinary education or relevant certifications
