Solaris Administrator

Solaris administration experience working in a medium to large complex highly process-oriented global IT infra environment.

· Excellent Knowledge of Solaris 10/11 administration, Performance tuning, Capacity Planning, and troubleshooting.

· Experience in Security best practices and vulnerability assessment.

· Experience in Filesystem management, ACLs, and File/Directory Permissions.

· Experienced in management of SVM/ZFS/UFS/VXVM.

· Experienced in administrating Zones in both global and local zones.

· Good understanding of LDOMS and CDOM.

· Experienced in Patch management with Solaris OS live upgrade and firmware update.

· Good understanding of IPMP/Network Configuration, SSH, telnet, FTP/sftp and provide user level, NFS server, and SAN configuration which involves scanning LUN’s

· Experienced in Veritas/Sun cluster Volume manager installation and administration.

· Knowledge of Commvault tool/Backup tool will be preferred.

· Your role will be to ensure high uptime and work in the technical environment.

· Need to work with multiple internal and external teams to perform the work.

· Should learn new technology and keep updated as per the changes in technologies.

Qualifications

3-7 Years of Experience

BE or equivalent.
