The Graduate Health Management Program offers a unique opportunity for enthusiastic, high potential graduates looking to step up to the challenge of a rewarding career in the public health system.


About the Program

This is a two-year program where you will receive an immersive learning experience that combines practical work experience, with the completion of a Master or Graduate Diploma of Advanced Practice (Organisational Performance) through the University of Tasmania.


You will complete various placements across the District or related health sector organisations, where they develop skills and an understanding of the public health system. During the first year of the Program, you will complete three placements, with the second year of the Program dedicated to one 12-month placement.


Study while you work

As part of the Program, you will be offered placement in the Master or Graduate Diploma of Advanced Practice (Organisational Performance) through the University of Tasmania (funded by Sydney Local Health District). We will also offer:

Professional development courses through Sydney Education (the District’s education service)
Executive Mentoring
Learning Pathways

This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
