Site Engineer (Civil)
Job Summary
The Civil Engineer will plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure projects for Happy Group’s residential and commercial developments. This role ensures projects meet quality, safety, cost, and schedule objectives through strong technical expertise and close coordination with contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design Planning
Develop structural designs and calculations for foundations, slabs, columns, beams, retaining walls, and other civil works.
Prepare detailed drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), and specifications in coordination with architects and MEP teams.
Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from vendors and subcontractors.
Project Execution Site Supervision
Oversee day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with design, contract specifications, and safety standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits; identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with Vijayraj Construction (and other appointed contractors) to monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and optimize resource utilization.
Cost Schedule Management
Assist in the estimation of project costs and preparation of budgets.
Track project expenditures and report variances; recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; liaise with Planning Procurement to mitigate delays.
Regulatory Compliance Documentation
Ensure all civil works comply with national building codes, local municipality regulations, and environmental norms.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation: daily logs, progress reports, inspection checklists, and as-built drawings.
Facilitate statutory approvals and coordinate inspections by local authorities.
Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as primary technical interface between Happy Group’s internal teams (Sales, Finance, Legal) and external parties (contractors, consultants, vendors).
Provide technical support during client walkthroughs, lease deed handovers, and post-construction evaluations.
Qualifications Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred) from a recognized institution.
Minimum 4–7 years of relevant experience in real estate or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proven track record managing residential/commercial construction sites.
Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro (or equivalent structural analysis software), and MS Project.
