Job Description

Execute painting tasks efficiently and with great attention to details.
Carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure Hotel standards are exceeded for overall guest comfort.
Assist the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer in the day to day operation of the maintenance requirements of the hotel.
Assist in the keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
On completion of daily rounds sign off any relevant section of the Maintenance Manuals.
Prioritise and carry out maintenance as requested by Departments on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running the hotel.
Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, priming in guest rooms and BOH.
Report back to relevant department Manager, Manager on Duty or Front Office the completion, or delay, of any task that is guest related.
Follow established safety rules, WHS regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
Be available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours, as required.

Qualifications

1-2 Years’ experience in similar role and hotel experience.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Always displays a professional appearance, representing our Sofitel brand.
Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends, nights and public holidays.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
