Service Accountant
Full job description
The Service Accountant will perform essential accounting duties required within the Corporate Service Support group. This individual will work with VOC Fleet, Fluids Lab, and Service Branches as needed. Also, this job includes working closely with the Accounting Department to streamline account transactions. The Service Accountant must have the ability to perform multiple tasks producing a high volume of work with accuracy. Detailed understanding of the departments in the Corporate Service group is required or quickly obtained.
Review Service Direct Expense monthly and report findings in Accounting Department Review.
Perform General Ledger Journal Entries for the VOC Fleet Department.
Reconcile VOC Fleet in Process General Ledger Account, Monthly.
Assist in getting VOC Fleet assets ready to go on lease.
Review and report on the Oil Lab Financials.
Reconcile Pay for Growth Holding account and distribute funds upon approval.
Perform service call backouts and credit request, following approval guidelines.
Add Hauling Charges, Loaners / Rentals, and Expense Reports to Service Calls.
Reconcile Service Work in Process Clearing Account, Monthly.
Cross train with other Accountants within the department to perform backup functions.
Support Service Department leadership with reviewing General Ledger Accounts, as needed.
Additional tasks assigned by management.
Experience
Required
Basic accounting methods (GAAP) and bookkeeping practices is required. Experience with AX systems preferred
