Job Description:
Accountabilities:
Food Services
Greet and assist customers with seating, menu selections, and food/beverage orders.
Serve food and drinks promptly, accurately, and in a friendly, professional manner.
Maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment, including setting and clearing tables.
Communicate special requests and dietary needs to kitchen staff; monitor meal progression.
Respond to customer needs, address concerns positively, and ensure a pleasant experience.
Handle payments accurately and thank guests, inviting them to return.
Follow sanitation, safety, and health protocols; perform other duties as required.
Perform other related duties as required.
Working Conditions:
This is a regular full-time position based on 40 hours per week.
Ability to lift/move on a regular basis up to 25 pounds.
This job requires walking, carrying, sitting, reaching, bending, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching frequently and working in a standing position for long periods of time.
Normal hours of work – hours and work schedule will vary as operational requirements and follows a work rotation schedule and will include days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The above responsibilities must be performed in keeping with The Salvation Army’s Mission, Vision, and Values, in a professional manner, upholding our code of conduct.
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
Completed Secondary School.
Current, valid Safe Food Handler’s Certification is required.
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements:
High school education and or competencies .
Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Capabilities:
Demonstrates good judgment, self-motivation, and discipline.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with integrity and adaptability.
Willingness to undergo and pass required background and screening checks.
Committed to understanding and supporting the mission of The Salvation Army in Canada.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $17.20 to $18.76 with a maximum of $22.51.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
