Job Summary of Senior Vehicle Mechanic:

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician to provide preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles in the fleet. This role requires expertise in both major and minor vehicle repairs, performing road tests to diagnose issues, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability. As a Technician, you will lead by example, mentor other technicians, and have the opportunity to advance in your career while working in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Senior Vehicle Mechanic:
• Efficiently conduct preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment without assistance.
• Engage in the repair and resolution of issues related to crucial components like engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• Replacing components, which may include turbochargers, parts of the fuel system, and assembled units.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols at work.
• Access Penske's tools and technological solutions to support diagnostics, exploration, and maintenance tasks.
• Participate in persistent training activities to upgrade technical skills effectively.
• Engage in different assignments and projects as stipulated by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience of Senior Vehicle Mechanic:
• Demonstrated expertise acquired over a period exceeding six years in truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• A high school diploma is a requirement, and candidates with vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair are preferred.
• Specialized preparation for diagnosing and troubleshooting essential vehicle components, ASE Certification, and a preference for 608/60+ certifications.
• Familiarity with diagnostic devices, welding machinery, and both manual and electrically operated tools.
• The candidate must have a valid driver's license and is encouraged to hold a CDL.
• Shows a high level of competence in addressing problems and working self-sufficiently.
• Possesses outstanding communication skills coupled with a strong customer service orientation.
• Adept at working collaboratively and effectively in unconventional conditions.
• Primary computer abilities and a capacity to follow safety and maintenance policies are essential.
