As part of a dynamic, collaborative team and reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in various aspects of general ledger accounting and financial reporting. This role must effectively communicate with internal business partners and external parties, as well as provide support and coaching to team members.
What you’ll do:
Financial statement preparation and analysis
Creation of periodic reporting for senior management
Monthly closing entries and reconciliations
High level review of various reports and processes to ensure completeness and accuracy
Financial and internal control-related projects
Administration of a broad range of other accounting functions, as needed
Financial projections and associated research
Documenting procedures and designing processes that ensure compliance and efficiency

An experienced accounting professional with strong business acumen who seeks to understand the Company’s goals and how their work contributes to those objectives
Someone who takes ownership of tasks and projects, showing initiative and acting proactively to address issues or potential process improvements
A natural leader who enjoys helping others and is valued for their ability to explain concepts clearly and partner on projects or to resolve issues

Position Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum 3.25 GPA, along with 5-7 years’ work experience in a financial accounting or analyst role within a corporate or professional environment.
Candidates with relevant experience in the Banking industry are preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Proficiency in MS Excel and strong general PC skills
Demonstrated organizational and analytical abilities
Effective and personable communication skills
Proactive work ethic.
